Parma vs Genoa

Parma has struggled for results recently, with one win and four losses in their five newest matches that we hold statistics for. In their most recent league outing on 14 September, they fell to a defeat against Como. Simone Lontani has been their most productive player over the listed matches with three goals, while goalkeeper Edoardo Corvi has made 14 saves. Genoa has shown more stability in their newest matches with no defeat in their two most recent fixtures, including a win against Sudtirol on 15 September. Over their six listed matches, J. Vásquez led their scoring with two goals, and goalkeeper J. Bijlow recorded 14 saves. Both teams have generally struggled to control the pace of their games, with both sides seeing slightly less of the ball over their recent matches.

History between these two sides has been tight, with little separating them in their four most recent meetings. Genoa has managed two wins in that period, while the other two encounters ended in goalless draws. Neither side has been able to establish a clear advantage in these head-to-head records.

• Parma are without H. Nicolussi Caviglia and have O. Diallo in doubt, two players noted on the injury list.
• Genoa will be missing E. Havel, J. Vásquez, and L. Venturino, three players ruled out for this match.
• Parma recorded more shots per match than their opponents in the first half of their recent games, while Genoa's match flow shows they have conceded more goals in the first half than they have scored.
• Simone Lontani has three goals for Parma over the listed matches, while J. Vásquez has two goals for Genoa over the same period.

Parma and Genoa enter this fixture with similar league form, both seeking to improve upon their winless starts to the new campaign. Parma will look to Simone Lontani, who has provided three goals over the listed matches, to spark their attack, while Genoa relies on the contributions of players like L. Colombo, who has one goal and one assist over the listed matches. Given the lack of momentum for either side, the match looks set to be a closely contested affair at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
